Chiropractic
Chiropractic is a non-invasive, hands-on health care discipline that focuses on the neuro-musculoskeletal system. Chiropractors practice a manual approach. Doctors of Chiropractic are specifically trained to detect and correct problems in the spine, often before the patient is even aware they exist.
Chiropractic care focuses on the relationship between the body’s structure and its function. The concept behind chiropractic care is that this relationship is so closely related that the health of the spine can play a direct role in the health of the rest of the body. Treatment of the back is mostly through manipulation, which consists of applying a controlled, sudden force to a joint in the back. This is done to increase the range of motion in the area being treated.
